Recently in August 2024 flood in Bangladesh, Feni, Comilla, Noakhali took a terrible shape as well as three hilly areas such as Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban in low lying areas and riven belt adjacent. In Bandarban district more or less the affected area are specially Naikhyagchari and Lama Upazilas. In Lama Upazila the most affected area is Chota Nonar Bill where the most inhabitants are marma community, the most vulnerable area compared by other places. During the flood and water logged, many household have been faced various damages as flood flashed washed away many pigs, domestic cattle, destroyed household utensils, fences and so on. To response the emergency situation, Ananya Kalyan Sangathon formed a 7-member team to distribute relief for flood-affected people with the financial supporter of Manusher Jonyo Foundation (MJF) under GAC fund. As per plan, AKS has distributed the humanitarian assistance on 27/08/24 successfully.
