International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women Celebrated by AKS

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women has been celebrated in Bandarban with the theme “Build a World for Women, Invest Adequately, Prevent Violence”.
On the morning of November 25 (Wednesday), the Ananya Kalyan Sangathan (AKS) of Bandarban organized a colorful procession of teenagers in Amtali Marma Para of Suwalak Union. At that time, the teenagers of the neighborhood took part in the procession with
banners and festoons in their hands.
Later, a discussion meeting was organized at the Kishori Club in Amtali Marma Para with the overall cooperation of BNPS and Simavi, organized by Ananya Kalyan Sangathan
(AKS) with the funding of the European Union.
Bangladesh Nari Pragati Sangha (BNPS) official Sanjay Majumder was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Mrs. Daw Nai Prue Naly, Executive Director of Ananya Kalyan Sangathan (AKS).

Among others  were present at the meeting Mr. Cho Mong Marma, President of Bandarban District Branch of Anti-Corruption

Marma, Sumit Banik, Master Trainer of Bangladesh Nari Pragati Sangha (BNPS).
Speaking on the occasion, Daw Nai Prue Naly, Executive Director, Ananya Kalyan Sangathan (AKS), said,” We have to get rid of
prejudices and inertia from the minds of teenagers and move forward”. We have to live life properly and study and survive in society. Adolescents need to discuss their advantages and disadvantages with their parents as they get older and grow up to be
human beings in society by increasing communication with parents and family to solve any problem.
Sanjay Majumder, Project Manager, Central Office, Bangladesh Nari Pragati Sangha (BNPS), was the chief guest at the event. She
added that the Women’s Global Leadership Institute got off to a good start in 1991 with the initiative of human rights activists and is
coordinated every year by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. Every year, some effective strategies are adopted and
promoted at the level of individuals, organizations, and organizations as a strategy to prevent and eradicate violence against women
and girls worldwide. Meanwhile, project manager Sanjay Majumder further said, “We have to build a world for women, invest
adequately, take this theme forward by preventing violence and work for the protection of women.”
