Ananya Kallyan Sangathon IFES have jointly organized trainings, workshops, and seminars on Democracy, Elections, and Conflict & Peace for traditional leaders with the goal of advocating for ethnic women’s political and civic rights and with a focus on prevention of violence against women in public life. Together, we have been partners in the implementation of the People Against Violence Everywhere (PAVE) program, and AKS has also served as a founding member of the Women’s Active Voice Everywhere (WAVE) Advisory Group, which is a network of women leaders’ active across the Chattogram Hill Tracts and the plains of Bangladesh. Last 8 years AKS and IFES conducted training to 300 women Karbaries, Headmen and other women leaders.
